Thyroid formed during 1991 in Preston, a town situated in the North West of England. From humble beginnings the band grew from the initial two members Jim & Mark A with a guitar, amp and set of drum sticks to the four you see to the left.
Jay and Mark W both joined the band after meeting the original members at college.
In the music section of the site you can hear how the band progressed from the early days thru to the classic thyroid anthems.
